SUNROSE RENEWABLE ENERGY

Sunrose Renewable Energy is a proposed 300-megawatt solar and 300-megawatt Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project on approximately 2,950 acres of privately owned land in Austin County, Texas. This project could be operational as soon as fall of 2027 with the potential to provide taxpayers, school districts, hospitals, and the local government with reliable economic benefits for years to come.

With Texas’ all-in energy production model, every type of energy generated can help Texas remain an energy leader with a strong, reliable grid. Partnering energy storage with solar generation allows Texas to store extra solar power generated when demand is low to use when demand for energy increases, reducing the opportunity for grid failure.
